WHY PILATES?

Because it works!  It worked for my body and the many many clients I have worked with!  I've had 3 surgeries from my ballet career, Pilates helped me rebuild my strength, understand my injuries and how I can make my body feel better.  
My ballet career ended after my hip surgery, but due to Pilates, I was able to recover and resume some of my favorite activities such as  ballet and Thai kickboxing.

Pilates is not only great for core and overall strength but also brings you body awareness which will help you with everything you do!

Pilates is very versatile; it provides a great workout, conditions your body for sports and helps you to recover from aches and pains.
WHY POSTURE?

Posture is not just how we look!  it’s how we hold ourselves up in all positions and activities, and how we load up our joints and soft tissues.  What we do everyday affects us more than we think!  Good posture will place less strain on our body and help us to look and feel better and stronger!

WHY TRAIN WITH ME?
I love this body stuff! I toured the world as a professional dancer at age 14, and have had 20+ years experience teaching ballet and Pilates.  I've studied human anatomy, dance injury prevention, kinesiology, biomechanics and was certified in Pilates through PhysicalMind Institute in New York as well as Pilates Method Alliance.  I am also a faculty member of two certification programs in San Francisco.  I continue to be fascinated by how the body learns, moves and heals.

I have worked with people from all walks of life including dancers, athletes, people with back, shoulder, hip, knee & foot issues,  the elderly and people with neurological issues.

I care ​about how you feel and what you want to achieve. Whether you want a smaller waist,  to eliminate pain or to challenge your body in workouts or sports, I would love to share my experience and knowledge with you!​
My goal  is to help you find enjoyment in your movement and to understand your own body.  My approach is to incorporate Pilates, postural principles and functional movements to design workouts that suit your needs.  I want to give you tools that you can use beyond our sessions and results that are long lasting.
